Ban on commercial fishing of chinook extended

The grim reality of a devastated salmon fishery hit home Thursday when the
Pacific Fishery Management Council agreed to another ban on commercial fishing
of chinook in California and Oregon. It is the second straight year that the sea
salts who make their living off the fabled fall run of Sacramento River king
salmon will be grounded.
