With fish advice

OWNERS of marine aquariums who struggle to care for their fish have been given a life-line.

The owner of the Taren Point shop Majestic Aquarium, Paul Talbot, will be conducting free seminars on how to properly care for marine fish such as those found in the movie Finding Nemo.

Mr Talbot said people would often spend a lot of money on fish for their tank but have no idea how to care for them.

``People spend $1000 or $2000 on fish but they don't know what to do and when the fish die they are so disheartened they just give up,'' he said.

He said it was important to educate people on the correct way to care for these fish both for the good of the owner and also for the welfare of the animal.

``I have narrowed it down to eight points that you need to know to keep these fish alive,'' he said.

``You could have never owned a fish in your life and you could come out of these seminars confident of the processes involved in looking after the fish.''

The seminars will he held at Majestic Aquariums, 7/120-126 Taren Point Road, on Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm with a free sausage sizzle at 6.30pm. For more information and bookings call 95253474.
